What is Clopidogrel?
Clopidogrel is an anticoagulant, antiplatelet medication for both cats and dogs. It’s given to pets to prevent the formation of blood clots in the bloodstream due to injuries. In addition to helping with blood clots due to injuries, Clopidogrel is used to prevent clotting in instances of feline cardiomyopathies, thrombosis, pulmonary hypertension, and other disorders that may increase the risk of clotting.
