What causes allergic dermatitis?
Allergic dermatitis is caused by sensitivity to allergens in the environment, such as dust mites, pollen or mold spores. Diet can also affect the condition.

Allergic dermatitis can take a number of forms:
Cats with allergic dermatitis scratch, lick and chew their skin, which can cause red, raised, crusty bumps; open sores; and hair loss.
